TARAS SHEVCHENKO NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

Kiev Taras Shevchenko National University is located in the capital of Ukraine Kiev. This university was established in 1839 as the Kiev imperial university of Saint Vladimir, since that time this institution had various changed in its name and considered as the third oldest university in Ukraine after Lvov and Kharkov University. 

In the Soviet Union period this university was considered in the top three universities in the Union Soviet socialist Republic. Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv ranked in the top 421-430 brackets in QS World University Rankings (Great Britain) in 2014-2015.

KYIV POLYTECHNIC
INSTITUTE

Kyiv polytechnic institute (since 2016 – National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”) was founded in 1898. Over the period of its existence it has trained 370 thousand of specialists, 60 thousand of which during of the period of Ukrainian independence.

KARAZIN KHARKIV NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

Karazin University was founded on the initiative of the outstanding enlightener Vasyl Karazin in November 1804. The formal opening took place on January 29, 1805.

Karazin University is the only university in Ukraine to have trained and employed three Nobel Prize laureates: biologist Ilya Mechnikov, economist Simon Kuznets, physicist Lev Landau. The training of international students at Karazin University began in 1948.

SUMY STATE UNIVERSITY

Located in city of Sumy, capital of the Sumy region in Eastern Ukraine, Sumy State University is a public institution specialising in STEM subjects.

In 1990, the Sumy Institute of Physics and Technology was founded, renamed three years later as Sumy State University.

Sumy State University provides a wide range of high-quality recreational facilities and activities for its students. These include literary workshops, drama groups, numerous theater groups, dance clubs and Ukrainian folk ensembles. As well as this, the university has a dedicated club offering nearly 40 different kinds of sports including swimming, basketball, aerobics and boxing.

POLTAVA UKRAINAIN MEDICAL STOMATOLOGICAL ACADEMY

The Ukrainian Medical Stomatological Academy is one of the oldest leading higher educational establishments in Ukraine, which traces back its history to the Faculty of Odontology, which was established at the Kharkiv Medical Academy in 1921. The faculty became the first academic specialized educational establishment for the training of dental practitioners. In 1931 the faculty was reorganized into the Kharkiv Dental Institute, which in 1967 was transferred to the city of Poltava.

POLTAVA NATIONAL TECHNICAL UNIVERISTY YURI KONDRTUYUK

The university was established in 1930 though the central building and one of its architectural monument was built in the years 1828 as premises for the institue of Fine Panels. It was founded December 12, 1818 by the wife of the governor-general in Poltava and Chernihiv provinces MG Repnin Barbara Institute of Fine Pann in Poltava and became the first provincial cities of the Russian autocratic empire secondary educational institution closed for women. Over the hundred years of the institute’s maiden it at different times the outstanding figures of the Ukrainian, Russian and Czech cultures. In particular, more than 36 years have constant supervision of academic work known Ukrainian poet and fabulist, a former rector of the Kharkov University, Professor PP Gulak-Artemovskij.

Founded in 1944, Odessa National Maritime Academy (ONMA) is one of the leading higher learning institutions for marine education situated in Odessa, the seaport of Ukraine.

DNIPROPETROVSK MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy (DMA) was founded on September 15, 1916, on the basis of Ekaterynoslavsky higher female courses Institute. Institute acquired the status of State Academy in 1920 and it was confirmed again to Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy (DMA) in Ukraine in 1994 by the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine № 224 dated 20 April 1994.

Foundation and the establishment of the Dnipropetrovsk  Medical Academy (DMA) were led by eminent scientists with world-known names, such as VP Karpov, Oleg S.Abrazhanov, O. Drzhevetsky, L. Gromashevsky, L.S. Halperin, M.F. Rudnev, G.F. Tsomakion, N.S. Kakhiani, M.S. Stanishevskaya, M.O. Kabanov, etc.
